Make calls with SIP trunking

Connect your SIP-based telephony server to Sonetel, for outbound calls, by following these instructions.

Ensure that your SIP server is assigned a static IP address.

Share the IP address with support@sonetel.com.

Add Sonetel’s IP addresses to the safe list so that SIP and RTP traffic sent from them is not blocked by your network.

Once we confirm that we have added the IPs to your account, you can send calls to our SIP servers at sip.sonetel.com.

For the best experience we recommend that the SIP server have a dedicated internet connection. If that is not possible, please ensure the appropriate QoS settings are applied to your network equipment.
By default, you can only use Sonetel numbers that support CLI as caller ID in your outgoing calls. If you wish to use other numbers you own outside Sonetel as caller ID, please contact us.
